The sales of used trucks have slowed from June to July, but are still on a positive gain for the entire year. On a year-to-year basis, 2010 is 43 percent increase over the sales in 2009.
The price of a used truck has moved slightly higher in 2010 and the average age of the truck has also slightly raised. The ACT Used Truck database, which collects data for the commercial vehicle industry, shows that there have been about 2,500 purchases per month.
The vice-president of ACT said that the used truck sales would probably not increase until the sales of new trucks increase bringing in more equipment.
